Gratitude and appreciation of what we already have is necessary to attract what we want in motherhood and life. Motherhood can feel chaotic and overwhelming if we focus on the endless list of tasks and demands. However, if we wake every day and think of the beautiful, magical things, we appreciate them and focus on the good instead of our struggles.
Even if your baby was up a million times last night and you wake feeling exhausted, waking to a sweet baby is a wonderful reason to be awakened. When we focus on the good, we attract more of the good.
For Your Logical Mind
This makes sense on a logical level, even if you struggle with the concept of manifestation and law of attraction. If you think about the good in your life, you FEEL good, and overflow with happiness and positivity. Then other people will smile back at you, when you smile at them. These positive vibrations build and a happy person continues to feel even happier.
The opposite is also true and no one wants to be around a boring, miserable, burned-out person who feels sorry for themselves all the time. That person doesn’t have any support and they continue to feel alone and become more miserable.
Cultivate the Root You Want
The root of being on the upward cycle instead of the downward spiral is gratitude and appreciation. Feel grateful for a place to live. If you have food, a friend, children, or anything else you can find to appreciate, appreciate it. A lot of people don’t have enough of even basic things like food, water and their own place to live. It’s natural that you want more, that you want to improve your standard of life, but first you need to feel gratitude for what you already have.
Start with Gratitude to Raise Your Vibe
If you start your day with feelings of gratitude you will feel good and you can keep that feeling all day. (Truly, that’s how our brains work- when we open a loop in the morning, our brain works for the rest of the day to close the loop. So, if we ask ourselves, “what can I be grateful for today?” you will work to answer it all day long.
Gratitude for What You WANT Before it Arrives
A fun twist to add in addition to looking on the bright side and being grateful, you could also make an affirmative statement like,
“I am so happy and grateful that_________________________”
and then write what you would like to have.
For example:
“I am very happy and grateful that I make $1 million per year; that I have a wonderful and loving husband and children etc.”
Use the present tense, visualize the things you want, be grateful for them, and think about them as already yours. When you achieve them, you can add new things to your list.
When you write about money, start first with the amount you believe is possible and then increase the amount when you got the amount you’d written down. Be specific.
When you start doing as described above, at first you might feel strange that you are using present tense for the things you want to have in the future, but it’s important to train your mind and force your mind to think about them in the present tense. After some time of playing such “mental ping pong” your mind will obey and will help you to achieve the things you want!
The benefits of gratitude and the law of attraction are two-fold. When we appreciate what we currently have we raise our vibration to feel happier and discover more in our lives to be grateful for. The second part is that we can use present gratitude for future desires to attract what we desire!
What have you already attracted? What do you want to attract in the future?
