A seasonal bucket list is a super fun way to make more joyful family memories! If you feel like you struggle to prioritize family fun in addition to your business goals and other priorities, having a list of fun activities to do, items to make, and places to go is a tremendous help! Brainstorm what your family enjoys most, schedule it, and make it a priority and it’s 80% done 😉 (I give you FREE access to my Fall Family Bucket List printable at the end of this post.)
I’m giving you some ideas to get you started, BUT you get to customize it for the activities and things that you and your family enjoy! I like including things to do, places to go, and things to make so that we have variety and can choose an activity based on our mood. You can make this list by yourself, but I find it’s even more fun to ask the kids for suggestions. They’re only little (medium, or big!) once and they may have great ideas that remind us of our own childhood. Anything can go on the list, no matter how small and silly or big, and elaborate- brainstorm ALL the ideas!
Here are some examples from my list for the Fall.
Things to Do: Bob for apples, fall family photo shoot, go for a drive or walk and look at the leaves.
Places to Go: Camping in the backyard, visit a haunted house, go horseback riding.
Things to Make: Caramel apples, a gratitude list, s’mores.
Schedule the Fun
Every month I take the time to review and reflect on the month that has just passed. Not only do I check in on my business goals, but I also always check in on my other goals and priorities, too. This is one of the ways that I can make sure that I’m being a present mom and devoting intentional time to my family. What I noticed is that it was overwhelming trying to think of fun ideas that could be done with little to no planning. I also noticed that if I didn’t have the family fun scheduled into our week, it didn’t happen on its own. Having a list handy that I could review each week while I do my weekly planning made it EASY to plan in a lil more fun into our days!
Make it a Priority
One of the ways that I meet my personal goals around cultivating deep, meaningful connections with the people I love is by making it a priority. Try planning ONE fun activity each week that is a TOP priority! It’s too easy to think you’ll “get around to it later” and it never happens.

A seasonal bucket list helps me be a more present mom and ensures that we have FUN together as a family. It’s as simple as creating a list each season, scheduling in something from the list each week, and making it a priority. It’s my FAVORITE WAY to ensure we have more fun and I hope it helps you have more fun, too!
