Have you ever noticed that when you push and work harder and more there’s a point at which there are diminishing returns? And worse yet, you may be left exhausted and burned out without ever achieving your goal? There are subconscious beliefs that may be working against you and foiling your valiant effort. Women and especially moms can have some sneaky fears and things such as guilt to overcome.
Now, these techniques won’t magically make your goals happen for you. You’ll still have to do the work. However, they can make reaching your potential much easier and quicker. They will help you release the fears that hold you back and unblock your path to success. There are others out there too that you may want to try, but here’s a short life of the ones we like best, and you don’t need any special qualifications to do them. They are the DIY of releasing subconscious, emotional blocks.
Affirming that our deepest desires are already on their way to us is a popular way to show the Universe we trust that our potential can be reached. In fact, affirmations demonstrate that we acknowledge that we already are what we want to become! Creating and saying affirmations signal to our higher self that we are open to accepting all the goodness that we want to attract and activate in our lives. They also keep our thoughts positive so we stop resisting and instead, go with the flow. These affirmations WILL change your life for the better!
It may feel like we have to multi-task and there’s so much we “should” be doing at any given moment, some of us can be so overwhelmed by our thoughts that we’re paralyzed. Anytime we can reduce the number of thoughts racing through our minds is the time when we are surrendering to the power of our true potential. Most of our thinking and planning only complicates our life. During meditation, we can enter a state of resting awareness that continues throughout our day. We can choose different types of meditation each day if we wish. We can simply focus on our breath or meditate on an issue we want clarification on.
Visualization is a practical, fun way to tap into the potential we all have inside of us. It’s like daydreaming, but with a specific goal in mind. When done consistently, visualization triggers our creative subconscious to the point where our mind doesn’t know the difference between what we visualize and reality. Only a few minutes a day can help you release the subconscious blocks that are holding you back from realizing your potential. I created this EPIC visualization to walk through my dream life to keep my mind from wandering so much- I listen to it every morning!
Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT is also sometimes called Tapping. It works by accessing your stored emotions through the meridian lines in your body. You simply tap your fingers on different locations on your upper body and repeat a phrase like, “Even though I am ______ of ______ , I deeply and completely love and accept myself.” When self-doubts or worries about reaching your potential come up you can use this technique to release them.
Just because these aren’t your average “productivity techniques” don’t disregard them. This is POWERFUL stuff! Let’s work smarter not harder, shall we? 😉 Which of these sounds the most fun to you? Let’s start there 🙂
